Sərkəs was established by a graphic designer and a humanitarian Fatima Fahnbulleh during her time in Zambia, E.Africa. While serving in the Peace Corps, Ms. Fahnbulleh was inspired by the revolutionary Che Guevara after reading about his ordeal. Fatima was 8yrs old when she emigrate from Liberia to America in 2001 where the family settled in Indiana. Sərkəs highlights her appreciation for culture, fashion, music, and art. Finding a fine balance between traditional African values and Western influences. Her designs are intelligent, eclectic and bold, printed on delicate apparel for complimentary fits.
